Germany (DE)

National-ID patterns loaded when you pass countries=["DE"] (or "all"). Universal patterns always stay.

This is a detector, not a legal opinion

id-extract matches the shape of these numbers. A hit is not proof that the value was issued, is still valid, or that the cited statute applies to your document. Checksums, where present, only test the extra digit.

STEUER_ID_DE — Steuerliche Identifikationsnummer

The 11-digit personal tax ID assigned by the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt). It stays with the person for life. The first digit is never 0. The eleventh digit is the ISO 7064 mod 11,10 check. A failed check is dropped, because eleven digits are a common shape.

Package type STEUER_ID_DE
Shape this package looks for 11 digits, first digit 1–9
Checksum ISO 7064 mod 11,10. A failure is dropped.
